But Mex, a lot of PL footballers earn more than them, and you've been screaming them on tonight? What's the difference?

Apologies not four days, but in the tax year.

Re: Tax and the political economy.
And therefore, given the income tax system as it stands, would presumably have paid more tax in four days than that worker would in their entire lifetime?

A FTSE 100 executive will have earned more money by the end of today than the average UK worker will all year.

Yes, KM, that's a sensible and balanced contribution. Not at all hysterical and out of proportion. Thanks.

i also don't want Great Britain turned into America.
Probably the way we will go after leaving the e.u.

I guess we can all go and buy our guns in asda before the tottenham game. After all there won't be any police about given there current budgets.

You should try to engage brain before you spout all your vile bollocks Hairy.

Calling people "Capitalist arse lickers" might make you feel good but it just makes you look an ignorant cunt. I am a capitalist and I lick no-one's arse.

You on the other hand, have some extreme views on socialism which makes you by your own definition, a communist arse licker and clearly you are someone that takes more than he gives to the exchequer.

The last 'Labour' government pretty much started off as the SDP and then morphed into deranged neocons. Even Blunkett was one of the most right wing Home Sectaries we've had.

The last Labour government was Thatcher 2. It wasnt very socialist. Even Labour in the 1970s brought in monetarism.

Which will be fine until people start trading that "more money" for material goods. It's value will nosedive.

Not a good thing with all these cryptocurrencies emerging.

Re: Tax and the political economy.
The "privatisation" of the NHS and other public sector services was MASSIVE under the previous two Labour administrations.

Those poorly negotiated deals do not favour the state, but the outsourcers due to incompetence in the public sector.

The Tories have tried to put a stop to a lot of this however these deals were set up to run for years.

They can print more money to pay off debt.

Re: Tax and the political economy.
I know what I do not want Neilalex and that is Great Britain turning into America and you might not think that possible but it is already happening slowly but surely.
Teachers and doctors are being belittled the NHS is being slightly privatised we will soon be told that there is no other choice but to privatise a bigger chunk of it (wait and see) it is bound to happen if the Tory's stay in another term.
MP's are distant and unaccountable almost like unpleasant robots. I know I do not want Corbyn or Mcdonnell but what other choice is there if you want change.

Re: Tax and the political economy.
Interest payments are currently in excess of £50bn a year...

...and given that only the rich can afford to lend the amounts of money that generate that amount of interest, it's the rich that benefit from receiving that amount of interest each year and, err, get even RICHER.

Solution? STOP THE GOVERNMENT SPENDING WHAT IT DOESN'T HAVE. Simples. Painful, but simples.

Write YOUR answer on your name and address and post it to the BBC - they don't give a fuck, either - they get YOUR licence fee every year, so, like, bothered..

Zoltan, I don't recall the older generation having their university fees paid for, unless they had a scholarship?
